Travellers who are sick and tired of being hit with outlandishly large bills from cellular providers due to data roaming on cell phones, laptops and other devices are sure to welcome the new limits that have recently been set by the EU. A new bill recently went into effect that limits the data roaming charges that one customer can incur while in foreign countries to 50 euros, or approximately £41. Previously, it was easy for tourists and other travellers to unwittingly accumulate exorbitant data usage charges while travelling in foreign countries. For people who need to watch every penny, this change is sure to be met with enthusiasm. From here on out, the likelihood of being slapped with outrageous bills should diminish considerably. (more…)
